The Koan sculpture by John Portman, bright white undulating ribbons of steel against a blue sky
The Koan sculpture by John Portman, bright white undulating ribbons of steel bend in and around eachother, rising up from a granite base. Around the sculpture and through the openings you see a blue sky, tall buildings and trees with autum leaves.

In March, 2021, members of the campus community gathered for the dedication of an exciting addition to Georgia Tech’s growing public sculpture collection. Standing nearly 40 feet tall, Koan was designed by the late John Portman, a renowned architect, designer, and Georgia Tech graduate. It is located near Clough Commons.
