LOOP: A Cultural Testbed in West Midtown

Coming Spring 2026. A bold cultural experiment is set to activate a historic 7-acre site along Marietta Street. Known as LOOP and powered by the Goat Farm, this short-term arts and technology initiative offers a dynamic preview of the Creative Quarter, Georgia Tech’s emerging innovation district for arts, entertainment, and creativity.

What is LOOP?

LOOP will temporarily transform a former industrial property into an immersive hub for contemporary arts programming. Over the course of several months, visitors can explore:

  • Large-scale art installations
  • Live performances
  • Experimental events and speculative environments
  • Tech-infused creative experiences

LOOP draws its name and inspiration from both the railway track that loops through the site and the feedback loops that drive artistic and technological innovation.

A Glimpse into the Creative Quarter

The LOOP site sits just steps from Georgia Tech’s campus, adjacent to the Ferst Center for the Arts and the newly developing Science Square. As part of the larger Creative Quarter vision, LOOP reflects the district’s mission to foster bold, cross-disciplinary exploration and connection. It welcomes students, artists, and the broader Atlanta community.

Powered by the Goat Farm

While LOOP is independently powered by the Goat Farm, it embodies the collaborative spirit and energy that defines the Creative Quarter. Interior spaces will feature flexible, loop-inspired layouts that support creativity in many forms, from interactive digital works to pop-up performances and public installations.

“The name ‘LOOP’ reflects both the literal paths that define the site and the iterative spirit behind cultural and technological creation,” says Goat Farm co-founder Anthony Harper.

Be Part of the Experiment

With dozens of public events planned throughout Spring 2026, LOOP is more than an arts activation. It is a cultural testbed for what’s next in Atlanta.

More details about programming, access, and opening dates will be released soon.
