Georgia Tech’s Newest Innovation District:
Creative Quarter
Fostering collaborations, inspiring innovation, and building community through arts, creativity, and tech.
A Creative Hub
Creative Quarter will connect Georgia Tech students, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship to arts organizations and creative industries in Atlanta and throughout the state. The district will enable students, researchers, and faculty to work with industry and community partners to create new technological innovations within a vast spectrum of artistic and creative practices.
The district will support education and research around cutting-edge applications of technology to artistic practice, accelerating the region’s reputation as a creative hub in the world of film, television, music, gaming, and the visual and performing arts.
Like Technology Square and Science Square, Creative Quarter extends Georgia Tech’s footprint to engage with our surrounding communities while providing Tech students with transformative opportunities.

A New District

State-of-the-Art Collaborations

Creative Quarter will feature modern and collaborative facilities, spaces, and technology for performance and rehearsal, recording and filming, virtual reality and AI, makerspaces and studios, and more.
The long-term vision for the district is to use public-private partnerships to build out the area to include things like retail, dining, residential units, a hotel and offices to go along with the core facilities.

Connected

Creative Quarter will be located at the historic Randall Brothers factory site at 665 Marietta Street, close to the central Georgia Tech campus, the new Science Square district, and Atlanta’s Westside — and also near the city’s downtown convention, sports, entertainment, and business district.
The Westside Community Connector Bridge will connect the campus to the Creative Quarter and Science Square, creating a new arts and entertainment district between Georgia Tech and the Westside.

A Place for All Students

Creative Quarter will be a place for all students on campus, regardless of their major — to create, experiment, and connect as they pursue academic work, research, entrepreneurship, and co-curricular activities; learn about new, arts- and creativity-focused technologies; and develop new approaches in a wide range of artistic and creative practices.
