Georgia Tech music technology graduate Devon Green is combining acoustic engineering, industrial design, and entrepreneurship through her startup, Proxima Audio. Developed during her time in Georgia Tech’s master’s program in Music Technology, the company creates high-fidelity loudspeakers that blend sound performance with sculptural design aesthetics.
Green’s research explored how speaker enclosure shapes and materials impact acoustics, work that later evolved into Proxima Audio alongside co-founder Kyle Smith. The startup was also featured during Georgia Tech’s CREATE-X Demo Day, showcasing student-led ventures emerging from the Institute’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Following graduation, Green plans to continue growing Proxima Audio as founder and CEO while advancing work at the intersection of music, engineering, and design.
