Tech Arts Fest Opening Exhibition Reception

Monday

April 13, 2026

5:00PM - 7:00PM

Start Tech Arts Fest 2026 with an evening of art, exploration, and community at the opening exhibition reception on Monday, April 13 at the Ferst Center for the Arts. This event brings together creative work from across Georgia Tech through collaborations between the Space Research Institute, Belonging and Student Support, and the School of City and Regional Planning.

The reception features two main exhibitions. Cosmic Missteps explores the unexpected side of failure and discovery, showcasing work created by students collaborating with artists and scientists to turn experimentation into creative expression. Campus Placemakers presents student photostories capturing the everyday spaces that shape life on campus, from busy walkways to quiet corners.

Attendees will also get a preview of upcoming student film screenings from LMCFilms, along with additional work from Tender Buttons, Moving Pictures, a GT Arts microgrant project. Food will be provided as guests explore the exhibitions, connect with student artists and researchers, and celebrate creativity across disciplines.
