Join Georgia Tech Arts for an evening of creativity and collaboration as Ferst Impressions launches a new chapter for the Ferst Center for the Arts. In partnership with the Georgia Tech Musician’s Network (GTMN), Ferst Impressions unites the extraordinary talents of musician Joe Gransden and Georgia Tech student group Mooncastle on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 4 p.m.

Joe Gransden, inspired by his father and early jam session experiences, has dedicated his life to music. Renowned for his hard bop trumpet style and a singing voice often compared to Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra, Gransden has performed worldwide and released 17 CDs under his name.

Newer to the music scene, Mooncastle debuted at GTMN’s New Bands Showcase in November 2024, earning recognition as the event’s best new musical act by the organization’s panel of judges. This large ensemble blends catchy melodies, energetic rhythms, and a horn section to create their distinctive “space music” sound.

As the two groups come together, Ferst Impressions will set the stage for the Ferst Center’s future as a hub of innovation and creativity. Buy tickets online at tickets.arts.gatech.edu or by visiting the Ferst Center Box Office, Monday-Friday, noon to 6 p.m.
