The Georgia Tech Symphony Orchestra will be starting off its second concert of the semester with Louise Farrenc’s powerful and dramatic first overture. This is followed by a performance of Elgar’s renowned Cello Concerto featuring Eric Chen, winner of the 2022 GTSO Concerto Competition. Finally, the orchestra will be playing Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony, a monumental work that is filled with references to the Czech composer’s homeland and is regarded by many critics as the greatest of his nine symphonies.
Free seating by general admission.
