Groove and Pop in the Ferst Center Lobby

If you have secured tickets to one of the performances of Satellite Turntable Orchestra, or even if you haven't, plan to come to the theater early this Saturday to enjoy some pre-show entertainment in the lobby! We're turning it over to two Georgia Tech student DJ's who will spin the night away and set the mood before each DJ Kid Koala performance. We’ll also be serving up free, hot popcorn to snack on as you unwind with us.

Akarsh "Akiraa" Hemrajani 6:15 - 7:00 p.m.
This Atlanta-based deep house and melodic techno DJ offers a groovy house music set. Akiraa is well known for his ethereal vibes and resonating sets. A self-proclaimed sunrise specialist, he has a knack for taking his listeners on exploratory journeys riddled with melancholic mysteries and sensual surprises through his selection of stimulating sounds. His most recent sonic venture is the monthly Technopolis rooftop pool party featuring some of Atlanta's hottest local talent.

Sumedh Garimella aka Fly Montag 8:15 - 9:30 p.m.
This EDM producer/DJ offers a mix of energetic big room beats and downtempo tracks with an emphasis on music by college producers and artists like himself. Fly Montag is the current incarnation of an ordinary teen's long musical journey. Born in Chicago and based in the Atlanta area, Montag takes inspiration from Dutch house, the trap scene around him, his Indian roots, and his everyday life in order to create thumping but thought-provoking beats.
